In total there are 6 categories ranging from Creative promotional award to Inspirational Leadership award. The overall winner of each category automatically goes forward to the overall Lloyds TSB Business Of the Year award. |

DESERT RIVER
Desert River distributes an exciting range of European lifestyle products. Its current range includes Bloom! lit planters, the Show motion mobile bar system, Patapoof inflatable bars and buffets, Moonlight Designer Lamps, a decorative lighting system of globes and half globes that can be used indoors and outdoors, fatboy lounge bags, and Tumbly seats. In the third quarter of 2003 Desert River was set up as an own trading company in the UAE in need of a local sponsor. Going through the classifieds in the local newspapers, several meetings were held with companies that advertised themselves as specialists in company formation.

Mr Ben’s Costume Closet offers costume rental and purchase, party planning ideas, themed events and the chance to let their imagination run free. Jayne Eastland who runs her store herself has been part of the Dubai scene for over 15 years. With a background in retail and commercial sectors, Jayne has brought both artistic flair and business acumen to this venture. Her passion for organising parties and events and her enjoyment of all things fun, is the driving force behind this venture.
Like every new business venture feelings of apprehension, fear and anxiety go hand in hand.
